Down by our workshop, we have a fish cleaning station, and left the water misting to prevent a pipe exploding with all our hard freezes here.  It’s been 4 nights in a row now, and we have a beautiful ice sculpture at our ugly make-shift fish-cleaning bench.

Hard Freezes of 2010 in Gainesville

Last night, we had a hard freeze of 25 degrees – unusual for Gainesville FL.  We will have the same for the next 3 nights.  My Emperor Sago Palms will get freeze-burned badly.  They are just too large to cover up.  But, in the Spring they will recover.
